Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) of Maldives Correctional Service in association with Quran and Sunnah has yesterday started the ninth batch of Basic Quran Class at Maafushi Prison.
A total of 25 inmates are participating in the five-week Basic Quran Class, a class which basically prepares participants for the Qirat Course.
These classes are organised by Maldives Correctional Service as part of their efforts to rehabilitate inmates for successful reintegration into society. In that regard, ICOST is currently conducting several courses for inmates.
