The Member of Parliament for the Kudahuvadhoo Constituency Honourable Ahmed Amir has stated that all citizens should congratulate Maldives Correctional Service for the work they do.
The Honourable MP had made the comment while speaking as the chief guest at the ceremony held yesterday at Maafushi Prison to award certificates to inmates who successfully completed four courses.
Honourable Ahmed Amir said that he certainly wish to see people who commit crime have the opportunity to turn the days spent in prison fruitful. Speaking about the Institute for Correctional Studies of Maldives Correctional Service, he said “Within a year of forming an institution, we are seeing the institute become an entity that provides the preferred education to offenders who are sentenced to prison,” and Maldives Correctional Service deserves to be congratulated for their work.
