Maldives Correctional Service has yesterday held a parade at Maafushi as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Maldivian Independence.
It was the first time Maldives Correctional Service had held a parade. The parade was carried out by 86 prison officers led by Senior Prisons Officer Ahmed Farish Ali.
The parade began from Maafushi Prison and marched through the main road of Maafushi to the harbour area.
Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal had travelled to Maafushi to see the parade.
Maldives Correctional Service had also participated in the official parade and event held to mark the golden jubilee of Maldivian Independence. MCS parade had received a good response from the public.
