Maldives Correctional Service has said that Member of Parliament for Vili-Maafannu constituency Mr Ahmed Nihan Hussain has generously sponsored Qari Level 1 course for inmates.
Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham had received the MVR 45000 MP Nihan had pledged to the cause at a meeting held at today at People’s Parliament.
MP Nihan had made announcement for the donation while speaking at a ceremony held on 26th May 2015 at Maafushi Prison to conclude various courses carried out for inmates. He was the Chief Guest of the ceremony.
The meeting was also attended by Member of Parliament for Mahibadhoo constituency Mr Ahmed Thoriq, Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal and Director of Asseyri Prison, Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Mohamed Hussain.
