Maldives Correctional Service has today awarded gift vouchers to the lucky draw winners of the Inmate Creativity Exhibition held from 16th to 18th April 2015.
The vouchers were awarded by the Superintendent of Prisons Ibrahim Mohamed Didi at a special ceremony held at the Head Office.
The winners were chosen from a lucky draw among the visitors to the Exhibition organised by the National Art Gallery. Three winners were chosen on each day of the Exhibition.
The first night’s winner Ms Layal Zahid had won a return ticket to Colombo, sponsored by Short Throw Maldives while the prize for the second night, sponsored by DPRS Cooperative Society was won by Ms Farah Dheeba Rasheed. The final night’s winner Ms Asha Shafiu had won won a return ticket to Colombo, sponsored by Turkish Airlines.
The Inmate Creativity Exhibition was held to showcase the talent and crafts of inmates. The inmates received praise from the public for their creative crafts.
