Maldives Correctional Service has tonight begun the Escort Challenge Football Tournament.
The Tournament was inaugurated by the Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham at a special ceremony held at Male’ Prison.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Commissioner said it was very important to hold tournaments such as Escort Challenge which will assist in maintaining the physical health of officers.
The Commissioner also stated that it was important to carry out each task in the best possible way and to maintain a strong discipline while entertaining staff; especially out on the field. He urged to maintain sports spirit at all times during the match and to take care to avoid injuries during the match.
This is the second Escort Challenge and Escort Team’s Commander Staff Sergeant Hussain Nadheem has informed that this year’s tournaments has received more support from officers than last year and are working hard to make it a huge success.
