FC Delta wins the first match played in the Escort Challenge Football Tournament played tonight. FC Delta had beaten Team Escort with a score of 3:2.
Team Escort had initially taken the lead in the spirited match when Ali Zameel had scored a goal in the fifth minute; but in the 15th minute FC Delta’s Ali Safah had levelled the score.
Team Escort subsequently improved their game and made several attempts to shoot a goal, eventually scoring a goal and a short-lived lead over FC Delta. The second goal was also scored by Ali Zameel.
FC Delta also upped their game and made several shots and scored a second and a winning third goal in the 34th and 35th minute respectively. The second goal was scored by Ahmed Azleen while the third goal was scored by Mohamed Rasheed, sealing the win for FC Delta.
FC Delta’s Moomin was chosen as the Man of the Match for showing a noteworthy play during the match.
