MCS commences 16th batch of Rehabilitation Framework Phases 1

Maldives Correctional Services has commenced the Rehabilitation Framework’s Phase 1 for the 16th batch of inmates at Maafushi Prison today.

The Rehabilitation Framework is part of Maldives Correctional Service’s (MCS) efforts to rehabilitate offenders and provide them educational opportunities.

There are a total of 50 inmates in the 16th batch.

The purpose of introducing the four-phased Rehabilitation Framework is to reform inmates by educating and teaching them useful skills which can help them earn a living upon their released from prison.

The Phase 1 of Rehabilitation is being carried out in par with HPA’s safety guidelines.
