Maafushi Prison Team has won the volleyball tournament held to mark the 30th anniversary of New Stars club of Maafushi island.
Maafushi Prison Team won yesterday’s final match after beating Aachaa Team with a score of 3-2 sets.
Maafushi Prison Team had won the first set, only for Aachaa Team to improve their game and win the next two sets. Maafushi Prison had won the next set and finally won the last set played to break the draw.
Medals and trophies were handed over to the winners after the final match. Maafushi Prison Team’s captain Hussain Samah and Ahmed Shaheen were also included in the “best six players” winner list.
