2016 expected to be a very promising year – Deputy Commissioner of Prisons

Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal has stated that 2016 is expected to be a very promising year for Maldives Correctional Service.

DCP Hassan Zilaal had made the statement while speaking as the Chief Guest at the special flag hoisting ceremony held at Asseyri Prison to celebrate its seventh anniversary.

He said that 2015 was a very good year for Maldives Correctional Service with many achievements, most notably changing the public’s vision of the Service and urged all officers to continue maintaining the friendly and genial relationship among each other and to work hard to make the operation of MCS more efficient than present.

DCP further said that support and hard work of all officers were greatly needed to achieve the goals set for 2016 and all officers must pledge to it. He advised all officers to refrain from doing anything which may tarnish the image of MCS and to work together to achieve the goals.

In addition, DCP stated that MCS was running as per the long-term vision of Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham and under the guidance of Minister of Home Affairs Honourable Umar Naseer and thanked them for their support and foresight.
