Asseyri Prison has decided to hold a blood donation programme to celebrate its 7th anniversary.
The programme will be carried out on 23rd January 2016 and programme is open for the residents of Himmafushi. Government institutions and some private companies have also agreed to participate in the programme.
Asseyri Prison is to carry out the programme with the collaboration of Maldivian Blood Service. Thus, senior officials of Asseyri Prison have today met a team from Maldivian Blood Service to discuss the programme.
The blood donation programme is to be carried out at Himmafushi Health Centre.
Lately Maldives Correctional Service has been active in their participation in similar programmes which benefit the community. In that regard, a blood donation programme was also held in Maafushi last year to celebrate the anniversary of Maafushi Prison and Emergency Support Group.
