Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) has today held an information session at Maafushi Prison for officers from prisons and Head Office on Certificate 1 and 2 in Custodial Supervision.
The information session provided details such as eligibility criteria and the modules included in the two courses.
The first course is scheduled to commence on 21st February 2016 and the deadline for applications is 18th February 2016.
ICOST has also opened the possibility for prison officers to attend classes while off-duty.
The Certificate 1 in Custodial Supervision course is targeted for officers in the ranks of Prison Private, Prison Lance Corporal and Prison Corporal while Certificate 2 in Custodial Supervision is dedicated to Sergeant and Staff Sergeant ranks.
