Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has today started using its new tactical uniform.
The new uniform is designed to be more comfortable to use in the working environment than the existing working uniform. It will also prove to be more convenient for officers to work and provide services.
The colour of the new tactical uniform is grey, the colour of MCS. A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at all prisons to introduce the new uniform, which were attended by commissioned officers, directors of prisons and a large number of officers.
The ceremony held at the Hulhumale’ Detention Centre was honoured by Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham, while the ceremony held at Maafushi Prison was honoured by Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal. The ceremony also included swearing of prison officer’s oath and a speech by Commissioner of Prisons.
