Prison Cooperative Society (Prisco) has opened its shop at Male’ Prison Annex 1.
The “Prisco Shop 2” was inaugurated by Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan at a ceremony held on the morning of 16th February 2018.
The “Prisco Shop 2” at Male’ Prison Annex 1 is the first shop of Prisco, while the second shop, “Prisco Shop 1” was opened later that day at Maafushi Prison.
The shop will prove to be very convenient for officers and staff of Maldives Correctional Service and their families as Prisco informs that in addition to getting to purchase goods conveniently, in future goods will also be available for credit.
Prison Cooperative Society in an initiative of a few previous employees of Maldives Correctional Service and was formed under the article 7 of the Society Act to promote economic and social welfare of its members as per the decisions of taken by the board members.
