Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has yesterday started a Customer Relations Programme at Maafushi Prison for prison and civil officers with administrative duties.
The session was conducted by Senior Civil Officer Ms Aminath Yusreen Ahmed of MCS.
The programme is being organised by Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) to develop and update the skills of prison officers and make them capable of providing the professional level of service expected by the public.
Addressing the participants, Executive Director of ICOST, Senior Prison Officer Ahmed Shahid said that it was expected of all participants to use the teaching of the Customer Relations Programme to the fullest while it will also be monitored.
During the session, the participants were shown the “do’s and don’ts” of Customer Service while providing service to customers who visit the front office or contact the office via phone. In addition to addressing questions of participants, the session also included enactment of scenarios with the participants.
More sessions of Customer Relations Programme are scheduled for all prison and civil officers of MCS.
