PRC has last night held a special ceremony cum dinner night at Asseyri Prison to award trophies and certificates for the winning teams of PRC Football Tournament 2017.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan, while Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal, Director of Asseyri Prison SP Mohamed Shaheen Ali, Director of Male’ Prison SP Moosa Anwar, Head of Offender Service Directorate SP Ibrahim Mohamed Didi, Director of Maafushi Prison ASP Salman Rasheed and commissioned officers as well as a large number of officers also attended the ceremony.
Maafushi Prison’s Jailam Jameel was chosen as the Best Player of the Tournament, Best Forward as well as the Top Scorer of the Tournament, while Best Goal Keeper award and Best Defender Award went to the Team’s Abdulla Shamin and Hassan Suneen respectively. The Most Promising Player award went to Asseyri Prison’s Ibrhaim Haleem while the Best Midfielder Award went to ESG’s Amjad Ali. The Fair Play Award had gone to Team HQ’s Moosa Hassan Fulhu and Maafushi Prison’s Coach Ahmed Shahin chosen as the Best Coach.
The Champion Team of the Tournament is Maafushi Prison, with ESG as the Runner-up Team. Team HQ was chosen as the Fair Play Team.
Last night’s ceremony also included the awarding of certificates to those who provided assistance to the Tournament in various ways. In that regard, the Referee Committee and Judging Committee were thanked and appreciated for their valuable contribution while Himmafushi Council and Himmafushi School were awarded a shield for contribution.
