Maafushi Prison has today won the eighth match of “PRC Football Tournament 2017” after defeating Asseyri Prison Team with a score of 4-2.
Maafushi Prison’s goals were scored by Jailam Jameel, Ahmed Naufal and Abdulla Mohamed. Jailam Jameel scored two goals. Asseyri Prison’s goals were scored by Nishan Ahmed and Ali Sajid.
Man-of-the-match was Maafushi Prison’s Ahmed Naufal.
Maafushi Prison has won all the matches of the first round that the Team played, confirming the title of “League Champion” for the Team.
Tomorrow’s match is scheduled between Team HQ and Male’ Prison.
The purposes of the Tournament are to create friendliness and sports spirit among officers and staff of MCS, to engage them in sports activities and to provide the opportunity for football players to show their skill. In addition, the tournament will also help to maintain the mental and physical health of staff and officers.
