Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has yesterday conducted a session for the “Professional Training for Custodial Officer” training for police officers. The session was held at Iskandhar Koshi and focused on the Rehabilitation Framework and the role of MCS.
The session included information on MCS’s efforts to rehabilitate inmates and release them back to the society as good citizens and the elements included in the different phases of Rehabilitation Framework.
In addition, participants were also given information on the role of Maldives Correctional Service and the rights given under the law and how to treat inmates and remanded persons.
The session was conducted by facilitators from Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST).
