Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has yesterday conducted an information session for the “Professional Training for Custodial Officer” training for police officers. The session was held at Iskandhar Koshi.
The session was conducted at the request of Police Academy and a total of 17 police officers participated in the session.
The modules taught during the session includes the role of Maldives Correctional Service and the rights given under the law, how to treat inmates and remanded persons, MCS’s efforts to rehabilitate inmates and release them back to the society as good citizens and the rehabilitation framework recently introduced by MCS.
This is the second such session ICOST has conducted for Police Custodial.
The session was conducted by facilitators from Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST).
