Team Red has today won the “HQ Men’s Futsal Tournament 2016” held among the male staff and officers of Head Office.
The one-day tournament was held at City Council ground. The purpose of the tournament is foster friendship and sports spirit among male staff and officers of Head Office and Male’ Prison as well as encourage participation in sports activities to stay healthy both physically and mentally.
A total of five teams participated in the tournament; Team Red, Team Blue, Team Orange, Team White and Team Green.
All five teams played against each other and the two teams with the most points moved on to the finals. Team Red won the tournament by beating Team Green with a score of 3:0.
Following the final match, certificates and trophies were handed over to the winning team, runner-up team and fair-play team. The best scorer and top five players of the tournament were also given medals and certificates in recognition of their talent.
