A refresher programme has commenced yesterday for prison officers working at Maafushi Prison of Maldives Correctional Service (MCS).
The programme will go on from 03rd September 2016 to 18th October 2016 and is targeted for ranks lower than Senior Prison Officer.
The programme includes modules such as emergency sequence, ethics, restraining techniques, escort, search, dynamic security and leadership. The modules are taught by facilitators from Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST).
The refresher programme will help prison officers to execute their duties at optimal, learn the latest techniques and refresh what they had already learn.
Maldives Correctional Service continues to conduct various such programmes for the development of its officers.
