Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal has met the Director and Representative, South Asia, Ms Francoise Jacobs of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). The meeting was held at the Head Office Maldives Correctional Service (MCS).
The discussion points for the meeting included the provision of skilled assistance for designing prisons as well as building and developing the infrastructure of the prisons.
UNOPS is an operational arm of the United Nations, supporting the successful implementation of its partners’ peace building, humanitarian and development projects around the world.
