Officers of Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) had participated in the boduberu act of the 51st Independence Day celebrations held at Galolhu Stadium on 31st July 2016.
The event was organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs and was open to public participation while the government institutions were officially invited to join.
The Boduberu act was performed by a total of 80 participants, including MCS’s boduberu group. The drums of the act were led by MCS’s Prsisn Private Hassan Shabeen.
This is the second time MCS joined the Independence Day celebration activities. 80 MCS officers had joined the parade of the 50th Independence Day celebrations activities held last year. MCS officers had received a lot of praise from the public for their march.
