The Inmate Creativity Exhibition getting a good response

Corporal Abdulla Ameen from the organising committee of the Inmate Creativity Exhibition has stated that the Exhibition is receiving a very good response. The Exhibition was organised by Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) organised to showcase the talent, produce and crafts of inmates.

The Exhibition is being held at the National Art Gallery the 16th April 2015 to 18th April 2015. Most of the 800 pieces on display has already been sold and more is expected to be bought by visitors before the Exhibition concludes at 6pm tomorrow.

The items showcased at the Exhibition include vegetables, varieties of plants, different types of vases, small display boats and furniture such as chairs and tables.

This year’s Exhibition also includes a lucky draw competition where a winner will be chosen for each day of the Exhibition with the prizes being a return ticket to Colombo.

The lucky draw winner of the first day was announced last night and the prize is being sponsored by Short Throw Maldives. The prizes for winners of the second and third day are being sponsored by DPRS Cooperative Society and Turkish Airlines.

The Exhibition will be open today from 14:00 to 18:00 and 20:00 to 22:00 hrs while it will be open on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00 hrs.
