The Executive Director of Institute for Correctional Service (ICOST) Chief Prisons Officer Ahmed Riza has stated that ICOST is in the process of developing more courses with accreditation from Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA).
CPO Ahmed Riza had made the statement while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of “Certificate 3 in Custodial Management and Security Programme” at Maafushi Prison.
He said that the next step for ICOST is to start diploma-level courses and work on developing these courses are progressing swiftly. He also said that ICOST will be giving special focus to developing courses for facilitators and lecturers; and the courses conducted by ICOST in future will be MQA-accredited courses.
CPO Ahmed Riza thanked Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham and said that all these work are only possible due to the support and valuable time contributed by the Commissioner.
CPO Ahmed Riza further thanked all facilitators and lecturers of ICOST for their continued support to his efforts to developing ICOST.
