Diploma module in Maritime Crime and Correctional Administration Training Programme’s component conducted in Seychelles concludes

Diploma module in Maritime Crime and Correctional Administration Training Programme’s component conducted in Seychelles has concluded.

The programme component was conducted from 5th to 9th October 2015 and was organised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The subject areas of the programme include overview of maritime conventions, contemporary maritime security issues and the relations between countries in stopping maritime crimes. In addition, the action plans for the concerned authorities were also taught during the programme.

The training programme was carried out for UNODC member countries and on Maldives Correctional Services was represented by Senior Prisons Officer Mohamed Mauroof, Senior Prisons Officer Shakeel Shareef and Senior Prisons Officer Mohamed Faisal.

UNODC has informed that the three participants with the best score will have the opportunity to participate in Advanced Diploma Module in Maritime Crime and Law Enforcement Programme.
