Asseyri Prison of Maldives Correctional Services has held a special Medical Camp today for inmates at the prison.
The Medical Camp was arranged by Asseyri Prison and K. Himmafushi Council in collaboration with K. Himmafushi Health Centre and K. Maafushi Health Centre.
The purpose of holding the Medical Camp was to provide medical care to inmates conveniently at the prison as it there were a number of difficulties and cost involved in escorting inmates from one place to another. The Camp will also provide consultations to Himmafushi citizens after the Prison consultations were completed.
The Medical Camp provided consultations on dermatology, dental and internal-related issues.
MCS notes the continued assistance provided by Maafushi Health Centre in providing medical assistance to inmates and remanded persons.
