Prison officers from Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) have participated in the cleaning and destroying mosquito breeding grounds in the Maafushi island. The event was organised by the Maafushi Health Centre.

The cleaning event, carried out on Thursday; included the cleaning and destroying potential breeding grounds for mosquitos as well as filling pot holes that collect water with sand.

The cleaning work was joined by a number of prison officers from Maafushi Prison and Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) as well as staff of government and private institutions and citizens of the island.
