ICOST holds certificate-awarding ceremony for graduates of Custodial Management and Security Programme 1

Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) has held a certificate-awarding ceremony for graduates of Custodial Management and Security Programme 1 tonight at Maafushi Prison.

The certificates for the graduates were awarded by Chief Guest, Prosecutor General Uz Aishath Bisham.

The course is mandatory for all newly-recruited prison offers of Maldives Correctional Service and all 20 participants of the current batch had graduated successfully.

The four-month Course include modules such as observation techniques, fire fighting, locks and key, first aid, search people and properties, restraining techniques, ethics and prisoner escort.

Prison Officer Hamdhoon Rasheed was chosen as the most outstanding participant of the current batch of Custodial Management and Security Programme 1.

All officers of Maldives Correctional Service have undergone the Custodial Management and Security Programmes.
