Hulhumale’ detention center has opened an additional unit, today. The unit was opened by the home minister Sheikh Imran Abdullah.
The purpose of this new unit and detention center at Hulhumale’ Prison is to segregate those serving sentences and foreigners being detained for immigration purposes. The completion of the new building will provide convenience for both officers and inmates.
Commissioner of Prisons Abdullah Munaz highlighted that several works are being done to improve the situation of the prisons.
