Maafushi Prison and Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) has yesterday held a perimeter cleaning event at the Prison.The event commenced during the late afternoon and was participated by numerous officers. A huge area of the Prison was cleaned during the event.
Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan and Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal had also visited the site during the cleaning event.
The perimeter of the Prison is approximately 1.5 kilo metres long and such cleaning events are carried out by Maafushi Prison officers and civil staff as a social event with great energy and spirit.
