Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal has today met with the delegates from The Embassay of the United States of America. The delegates include Political Officer Ms Sucheta Sharma, Regional Security Officer Mr Bourne Sunde and Counter Terrorism Bureau Analyst Ms Tracy Swan.
The meeting was held at the Head Office of Maldives Correctional Service (MCS).
US Embassy’s Special Agents Gregory Fray and Michael Otis and Information Support Team members Mr Steven Parkstone, Mr Sean Ireland and Ms Kelly Jong also joined the meeting, while Deputy Superintendent of Prisons Ibrahim Nashid joined on behalf of MCS.
The meeting included discussions on counter-terrorism issues as well as training requirements of prison officers.
