The last match of first round of “PRC Football Tournament 2017” has ended in a draw. The match, played by ESG vs Asseyri Prison Team ended with a score of 2-2.
Asseyri Prison Team’s goals were scored by Nishan Ahmed and Hussain Nadheem while ESG’s goals were scored by Anwar Moosa and Amjad Ali.
Hussain Nadheem of Asseyri Prison Team won the title of Man-of-the-match.
The teams that moved on to second round have been confirmed with the conclusion of this match. Maafushi Prison is in the lead with 12 points while ESG is at the second place with seven points. Asseyri Prison Team is at the third place and Team HQ is at the bottom with three points.
The next match is scheduled for 26th September 2017 between ESG and Maafushi Team.
The purposes of the Tournament are to create friendliness and sports spirit among officers and staff of MCS, to engage them in sports activities and to provide the opportunity for football players to show their skill. In addition, the tournament will also help to maintain the mental and physical health of staff and officers.
