Maafushi Prison has today won the second match of “PRC Football Tournament 2017” organised by the Prison Club (PRC) of Maldives Correctional. The Tournament is being held at K. Himmafushi.
Maafushi Prison had won the match over Team HQ with a score of 1-0.
The only goal of the match was scored by Maafushi Prison’s Ahmed Naufal. Maafushi Prison had been awarded a penalty due to a foul committed by Team HQ’s Mauroof Abduk Azeez against Maafushi Prison’s Jailam Jameel in the penalty area.
During the first half of the match, Maafushi Prison’s Ali Ashfaq was unsuccessful to utilise clear opportunities to score more goals. Team HQ was unable to create adequate shooting opportunities.
Following the match, Maafushi Prison’s Coach Ahmed Shahin stated that he was happy to win three points, though he was not satisfied with his team’s performance.
The man-of-the-match was Jailam Jameel of Maafushi Prison. Jailam had performed very well during the match.
The next match is scheduled for tomorrow; where Asseyri Prison will play against Male’ Prison Team. The match will be played at 4pm at Himmafushi Football Ground.
