It is my dream to see MCS volley team to successfully compete with the ‎heavyweights of 1st division: Home Minister ‎

Minister of Home Affairs Honourable Azleen Ahmed has stated that is his dream to see MCS volley team to successfully compete with the heavyweights of 1st division.

The Minister had made the statement while speaking as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of “Maafushi Prison Volleyball Tournament 2016”.

He believes that MCS volleyball team will be drafted with the top six players of the tournament along with six reserve players and requested all players to maintain their health, fitness and stamina by exercising regularly and making positive life-style changes.

The Minister said that it is very important for players and supporters to maintain discipline as per the sports spirit and MCS Volleyball team had much potential to perform strongly at the second division and qualify to the first division.

The Minister additionally said that he was quite proud of how impeccably the tournament was organised and executed and congratulated all officers and staff for the accomplishment.

“The final match of the Maafushi Prison Volleyball Tournament 2016 that was played tonight is the most professionally organised and executed match in the history of Maldivian volleyball,” said the Minister.
