Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal has today met with the Dr Gordan Hein, Senior Vice President of Programmes of Asia Foundation at the Head Office Maldives Correctional Service (MCS).
In addition to Dr Hein, the meeting was also attended by Asia Foundation’s Country Representative Ms Dhinesha De Silva Wikramanayake and Deputy Country Representative Mr Johann Rebert. This is Dr Hein’s first trip to Maldives.
The main discussion points for the meeting include highlights of various vocational programmes conducted for inmates by the collaboration of US Embassy and Asia Foundation over the past three years and re-commencing programmes that are currently on hold.
