Team Yankee has won the “Prisco Asseyri Prison Cup 2016” after defeating Team Recon at the final match played yesterday at Asseyri Prison futsal ground.
Both teams had scored four goals and reached a draw. After a penalty shootout, Team Team Yankee had nailed the championship with a score of 8-7. The man-of-the-match title for the match went to Team Yankee’s Sharaf Shakir.
The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan. At the closing ceremony, trophy and medals were given to the winning teams and players by the chief guest and special guests.
The ceremony was joined by Director of Asseyri Prison Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Mohamed Hussain, Director of Male’ Prison Superintendent of Prisons Moosa Anwar, Superintendent of Prisons Mohamed Ibrahim Didi and Deputy Superintendent of Prisons Ibrahim Nashid.
