Asseyri Prison has yesterday started a volleyball tournament for inmates at the Prison.
The first match of the tournament was won by Green Team after defeating White Team with a score of 3-0 sets.
Red Team and Yellow Team are scheduled to play in the second match of the tournament.
A total of four teams are participating in the tournament; Green Team, White Team, Red Team and Yellow Team.
In additional to rehabilitating convicts, Maldives Correctional Services organises and hold such tournaments to maintain mental and physical fitness of inmates as well as instigate sports spirit among them.
