Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) has yesterday started the second batch of “Security and Operational Management” at Maafushi Prison to develop officers working at Emergency Support Group (ESG).
The course is conducted by Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) and will be taught by facilitators from ICOST.
The course will teach officers skills on managing and controlling inmates, security decision making, communication, managing and handling the critical situations and self-defense skills as well as adapting to changes in the environment.
