Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal has today met with the participants of Phase 1 of the Rehabilitation Framework.
The meeting was joined by the Director of Maafushi Prison Assistant Superintendent of Prisons Abdulla Ameen and commissioned officers of Maldives Correctional Service.
While speaking at the meeting, DCP said that the programme is mandatory for all those convicted to a jail sentence and therefore cooperation was needed from all inmates. DCP Zilaal also advised all inmates to complete the programme as it will help to change the behaviour of inmates for the better as well as help to re-enter the society.
Following DCP Zilaal’s talk, the floor was opened for a Q&A session.
