Asseyri Prison has held a flag hoisting ceremony at midnight to celebrate its 8th anniversary.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan.
The ceremony was joined by the directors of prisons of Maldives Correctional Service, commissioned officers and Asseyri Prison officers.
The ceremony also included cutting of the anniversary cake, joined by all the guests present at the ceremony.
