Emergency Support Group (ESG) today has held its 9th annual assembly at Maafushi Prison’s lecture hall.
The chief guest of the ceremony was Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Shihan.
Certificates and shields were given to outstanding ESG officers and those that provided assistance to ESG in various ways over the past year. A video presentation was also shown at the assembly regarding ESG, including the history and purpose of the establishment of ESG as well as the tasks carried out by ESG over the past year.
The assembly was joined by the directors of prisons of Maldives Correctional Service, commissioned officers, current ESG officers and those that had served ESG in the past.
