Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham has stated Maldives Correctional Service (MCS) is a pillar of law enforcement.
Commissioner of Prisons Mohamed Husham had made the statement this morning while speaking at the closing ceremony of the ASR training programme conducted jointly by Police Academy and Prisons Academy. He said that Police Academy will always have the love and respect of Correctional Service Officers and thanked the Police Academy for the assistance and support provided in conducting trainings for prisons officers.
The Commissioner noted that Police Academy was closely-linked with Maldives Correctional Service and thanked the Commissioner of Police Hussain Waheed for his hard work in maintaining the close relationship between the two institutions.
Certificates to the participants of the training programme were given by the chief guest of the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohamed Sadiq.
The ceremony also included the awarding of a plaque to the Police Academy by the Commissioner of Prisons in appreciation of the valuable contribution of the Academy.
In addition, all the prison officers also renewed their oaths under the guidance of Superintendent of Prisons Ahmed Asif.
