President Ibrahim Mohomed Solih has appointed Abdullah Munaz as the new Commissioner of Prisons, yesterday.
Abdullah Munaz was appointed as the Commissioner at the level of a Deputy Minister.
Abdullah Munaz has previously served at Maldives National Defense Force for 24 consecutive years. Abdullah Munas was at the rank of First Lieutenant, when he self-retired in 2011.
Upon establishment of Department of Penitentiary and Rehabilitation Services in 2011, he was then appointed as the Superintendent of the department.
In addition, Abdullah Munaz has also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Leadership and Management.
