An inmate of Asseyri Prison has passed away around 3:30 am this morning while receiving treatment at the Health Centre of K. Himmafushi.
Mr Ibrahim Musthag of Havaasaa, S. Hithadhoo had been checked by the Asseyri Prison doctor following complains of lower chest pains and later taken to the Health Centre after the doctor had determined that further treatment was required. The doctor has stated cause of death as a heart attack.
Mr Ibrahim Musthag had been serving a sentence of three years and six months for robbery.
