ESG has today won the first match of “PRC Football Tournament 2017” organised by the Prison Club (PRC) of Maldives Correctional. The Tournament is being held at K. Himmafushi.
Though ESG won the match with a score of 4-3, Male’ Prison had played a remarkable game.
During the first half of the match, Male’ Prison’s Raaidh Aboo Bakur had scored the first goal. Following the goal, ESG had upped their game with several dangerous shotes towards the goal leading to an equaliser by Ahmed Shamin. He soon another goal and ESG had momentarily taken the lead. Close to the end of the first half, Male’ Prison’s Raidh Aboo Bakur scored an equaliser.
The second half showed both teams playing well and Male’ Prison had taken the lead again with their third goal, scored by Ibrahim Arif. ESG again pushed forward and soon scored an equaliser. The goal was scored by Ali Afsah. ESG’s winning goal was scored by 2nd half’s substitute player Ahmed Shafee.
The man-of-the-match was Ali Afsah of ESG.
The next match, scheduled for tomorrow; will see Team HQ vs Maafushi Prison Team.
