Asseyri Prison of Maldives Correctional Service has carried out perimeter-clearing work at the Prison. The work was carried out on 16th, 19th, 22nd, 25th and 29th of April 2017.
The perimeter-clearing work included pulling out weeds growing in the prison surroundings as well as cutting down of smaller trees and low-hanging branches the area as well as cutting down of larger trees and removal of the tree stumps.
The event was carried out by several officers of Asseyri Prison, though officers of K. Himmafushi Police Station joined in on the last day of the work.
Asseyri Prison informs that the work was carried out with high spirits and energy.
In addition to the perimeter-clearing, the Prison informs that there are several projects in progress such as the construction of fence surrounding the Prison, construction of a shop near unit 2 and the construction of duty bunker at unit 1 as well as the unit management office.
