Team HQ has become the champions of “Prisco Escort Challenge Cup 2016” after winning last night’s final match.
The final match’s first goal was shot by FC Morning Shift’s Ismail Zareer. After six minutes, Team HQ’s Hamdhoon Rasheed scored a goal. By the end of first half, both teams were at a draw of 1:1.
The second half saw Team HQ up their game and score an additional five goals. Team HQ’s Hamdhoon Rasheed had scored a hat-trick, while Ahmed Shaafy had scored two goals. Team HQ’s Moosa Hassan Fulhu also scored a goal, making the final score 6:1. The man-of-the-match title for the final m atch had gone to Team HQ’s Hamdhoon Rasheed.
“The motivation to score a goal after the opposing team’s goal was only possible with the support of all supporters,” said a beaming Hamdhoon.
In addition, Team HQ’s Moosa Hassan Fulhu and Goal Keeper Ahmed Naseem has consistently shown note-worthy, impressive skill during the tournament.
The 2nd runner-up of the tournament is Team HDC. Team HDC was the champion team of “Escort Challenge Cup 2015”.
Following the final match, certificates and trophies were handed over to the winning team, runner-up team and notable players. The trophy, medals and cash prize was awarded to Tea, HQ by Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal.
Team HQ’s Captain, Adam Mansoor said that the secret behind Team HQ’s success is the solidarity and spirit between the players, supporters and management as well as the desire and enthusiasm to win.
