Institute for Correctional Studies (ICOST) of Maldives Correctional Service has yesterday begun the Commissioned Officer’s Course at Male’ Prison.
The six-month course is targeted for only commissioned officers (ranks above Chief Prisons Officer). The participants of the course include two female officers and 16 male officers.
The Course consists of modules such as management skills, performance management, behaviourism and prison management.
Maldives Correctional Service informs that diploma-level courses for prison officers are also in the planning.
