Emergency Support Group (ESG) of Maldives Correctional Service has held a ceremony on 01st June 2016 to open the new ESG Office at Maafushi Prison.
The new office was opened by Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner of Prisons Hassan Zilaal.
ESG’s Commanding Officer Chief Prisons Officer Abdul Ghanee said that the new office is bigger than the current office. He also said that the new office will help to ease security issues as well as be convenient for ESG officers to do their duties and also create a conducive environment.
A Maahefun was also held at Maafushi Prison for ESG officers.
The Maahefun was attended by commissioned officers and prison officers of senior ranks.
